What I am Browsing

Here's a couple of links to items that I have found interesting this week.

Ed Young's Blog - Church Pirates

Ed Young is a pastor in Texas that I enjoy watching and listening to. He does a video blog and this one about Church Pirates is interesting and gave me something to think about. I praise God that we haven't had Captain Jack Sparrow at New Song. Click on the link below and watch the post and you'll know what I mean. It's short, about 7 minutes, so take a moment to laugh and think.

Rethinking Suburban Evangelism - Calvin Miller

Here's a short and insightful article from Christianity Today that Bob Chipman passed on to me. There are different forms of evangelism and this article gives some great thoughts about how to effectively share our faith!

Rick Warren Goes Global - Time Magazine

Here's another article about the conference I attended last week at Saddleback church. This one focuses on the 3rd day of the conference, which was about missions. Rick Warren is presenting a new paradigm for meeting needs in Jesus name around the world and spreading the gospel. I'll be talking more about how our church might be involved in the coming months. Here's the article and I'd also encourage you to check out the PEACE plan web site for more details.
